At American Association of Professional Inspectors, our primary goal is to arm you with all the information you will need to make informed decisions.  Whether you are purchasing, selling, constructing or adding on to a home or commercial building. We want to help you avoid costly mistakes.

We take the time and effort to evaluate each property on its own merit.
Everyone of our inspections yields a unique, TREC standardizes report form or for special situations a custom report; written as a full narrative that is reflective of the individual home, building or service you require. We do not use pre-printed forms or simple checklists with check boxes.

Thorough inspections, we find existing and potential problems; and then take the extra step to offer solutions and actionable advice to help you solve these problems. (It’s only a problem if you don't know about it. Once informed, you have the power.)

We look for structural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical issues and safety hazards.

Our inspection report is a detailed report that you will be able to refer to over the years as your guide for future commercial building or home improvement and commercial building or home care decisions.

All our inspections meet and/or exceed the TREC, ASHI and NACHI Standards of Practice

A new survey shows Americans are well aware of the benefits of securing a home inspection before they purchase a new home. Commissioned by the American Society of Home Inspectors, the Harris Interactive Survey showed 88 percent of Americans believe an inspection is a necessity before purchasing a home, while 72 percent said an inspection helped them avoid potential problems in their current home. Additionally, 64 percent said it saved them money in the long run. At the same time, many Americans had a poor idea of what an inspection entails, with many incorrectly assuming reviews of septic systems, electrical wiring and plumbing behind drywall and swimming pools were included – they typically aren't, said AAPI president Bob Charvoz. In addition, 70 percent incorrectly assumed all home inspectors are the same.

"It is important for consumers to do their homework before hiring an inspector," explained Charvoz. Sometimes going with the Realtor’s inspector can cause the client costly repairs after the inspection.

The importance of home inspections continues to rise as more consumers seek distressed properties, homes that can typically come with far more faults compared to others. According to RealtyTrac, 26 percent of all home sales last year were for distressed properties.
